GEASSA, Generadora Eólica Argentina del Sur S.A. is officially constituted at the beginning of 2008, being Central Eólica Gastre (CEG) its leading project. This project was under consideration since early 2007 .
Central Eólica Gastre is an important private initiative developed for more than four years. As a complement of all efforts addressed to the energetic self-sufficiency and its contributions to the goals of generating energy from renewable energy sources, it becomes strategic for Argentina.
The project is also solid from both technical and environmental views. Consequently, national and provincial enforcement authorities granted all administrative and environmental authorizations necessary for its construction.
Location of the CEG (Central Eólica Gastre) initiative
Central Eólica Gastre (CEG) will be built on a surface of 111,20 acres (45,000 hectares) owned by GEASSA in Pampa de Gastre, 9,32 mi (15 km) south Gastre, in the north-west of Chubut province.
